How much will my Botox treatment cost?

Botox is most commonly priced per “unit”, but don’t get confused by that scientific term. All you have to keep in mind is how many Botox “units” it usually takes to treat whatever area on your face you want treated.

On average, a female who wants to treat the frown lines between the eyebrows will typically need from 20-30 units of Botox for that area.  So if the Botox is priced at $10 per unit, then you would expect to pay $200-$300 for that treatment, which at that dosing should last 3-4 months.  For the horizontal lines that go across your forehead, the average female can need as few as 10 units to as many as 20; hence, that treatment would cost $100-$200 at $10 per unit.  For the sides of the eyes, or the “crow’s feet” as they are called, the average dosing is 25-35 units.

Keep in mind that many factors go into the decision about how much Botox to use in any given area, including your age, the general condition of your skin, the depth of the lines, etc.  An experienced Botox provider should be able to look at you and tell you how many units you would need to treat your desired area.

It’s also important to remember that if you use too few units to treat any area in an attempt to save money, it’s likely that the effect will not be optimal and will not last very long.
